According to the latest NEWS from the IT office of Industry, Mine and Trade ministry, the companies in Iran, that are working in computer Software sector, are exempted from taxes. As a governmental support to the new found companies, established from March 2016 on, are no more obliged to pay sale taxes, if the company is solely in the business of applying computer science to produce softwares.

This exemption consists of 100% of the sales tax for the first 5 years of the company’s establishment. This exemption can also be applied for the private software producer companies that are established before March 2016, but the exemption rate is reduced to 80%.

This deal was agreed by Finance and taxation office and is to be put into action from January 1st 2018.
